SARA (KAMEENI) PEOPLE: ANCIENT SUN-WORSHIPING PEOPLE OF AFRICA

The Sara (Kameeni) are an amalgamation of ancient Sun-worshiping, fishery and sedentary agriculturalist Bongo-Bargimi-speaking people of Nilo-Saharan origins residing in southern Chad and Central African Republic. Most Sara are now, and have been for centuries, located between Lake Iro in the east and the Logone River in the west.
