Vodun, the Light and Beauty of Haiti (Photo Essay)
Photo rendering: Manbo Cécile Fatiman Cécile Fatiman is known as the Haiti Vodun priestess who led the war council at Bwa Kayiman that started the Haiti Revolution. But this sacred mother was more than that. This greatest of all Haiti priestess, like Haiti healers and warriors Tante Toya and Gann Guitonn, Cécile Fatiman was the living vessel of her people. Carrier of the irreducible essence of Ezili Dantò, Manbo Cécile Fatiman and the elder women of Haiti revolution mobilized the enslaved and the maroons, traveled for years, some say, day and night without rest to the plantations letting trusted initiates know about the great gathering of all warriors to end slavery to come on August 14th. Holding Vodun "clearing" rituals as she went, undoing colonial mentacide. Like Asset/Isis of Egypt/Kemet/Kush on Alkebulan, Haiti's supreme Divine Warrior Mother of love, Ezili Dantò, danced in the head of Manbo/priestess Cécile Fatiman on August 14, 1791, http://bit.ly/9jjFye, chose the warrior amongst all warriors gathered on August 14, 1791, who would start the triumphant Haiti Revolution and free her children from European enslavement. Spoken in the KiKongo language on August 14, 1791 - The Bwa Kayiman Prophecy and Call, which began the Haiti revolution, is: E, e, Mbomba, e, e! Kanga Bafyòti. Kanga Mundele. Kanga Ndòki. Kanga yo! - Stop the imperialists, their Black collaborators and all their evil forces now! (Evil forces=their lying assemblies, media, religion, schools, their mercenary militaries, et al. STOP THEM! See HAITI EPISTEMOLOGY - http://bit.ly/fBCE8B ) *** Bio of Ezili Dantò, 1791 http://bit.ly/11N7y8 The Revolution which created the nation of Haiti was inspired by the divine decree of the warrior love goddess known as Ezili Dantò who danced in the head of the great Haitian priestess, Cécile Fatiman, on that famous Haitian night in 1791, on a red hilltop, at a forest thicket in Haiti called Bwa Kayiman. Led by the powerful warrior spirit of Ezili Dantò, Cécile Fatiman crowned the African warrior Boukman with her royal red Petwo scepter, ushering in the Haitian war which forever slashed the chains of European slavery in Haiti to create Africa’s sacred trust, Manman Ayiti – the first Black nation in the Western Hemisphere. Ezili Dantò is the symbol of the irreducible essence of that ancient Black mother, mother of all the races, who holds Haiti’s umbilical chord back to Africa, back to Anba Dlo*. Calling on her essence, breath, vision and cosmic power brought forth Haiti’s release from 300-hundred years of brutal European enslavement. The historical figure for the woman who presided at the gathering that started the great Haitian revolution was Vodun priestess Cécile Fatiman. Animated by the irreducible essence of the Divine Mother - Ezili Dantò, the priestess Cécile Fatiman, chose the warrior, Boukman, to lead the Haiti revolution on a great August night in 1791 . Another August 14th is approaching. Ayiti/Haiti...Ezili Dantò has her tongue back! She speaks again. Have you heard?? **** SEREMONI BWA KAYIMAN, PART 1 http://bit.ly/9JsDHU Hundreds of years ago, Africans in the plains and valleys, forced to be passive every second of the day in order to survive the European planter's lashes, would sneak out in the dead of night, up the rocky Maroons' mountain roads to secret forest caves and hidden clearings, for the Vodun ceremonies, where they would watch their kinfolks practicing the art of war, productively sloughing-off impacted rage to the Vodun drum's syncopated beats... Haitian children learned in Vodun ceremonies the uses of cutting and slicing a chicken and goat's throat, early on in life, for the time when the Petwo nations would come and mount them, so they would stop being the sacrificial lambs, the scapegoats whose blood was being lapped up by the white settlers. So, in Vodun, there is the time before the Petwo nations arrived to the war dance to unify the cocktail of multilingual African tribes - and the time after. The more temperate nations that were there before, subduing Petwo were called Rada. Originating like Petwo, from West and Central African peoples. But the Africans who became Haitians in the land of the Taino Haitians had to pull hard for the psychic energy within themselves that would allow them to kill the current of negative European energies swallowing them whole. And when these Blacks, on a hilltop at a wood clearing called "Bwa Kayiman," had reached back, past their divisions, past even the God making impulses that creates dictators. Way back. Past self-gratification. Past giving any one particular element - spirit or thought abstraction - omniscient sovereignty; way past these twilights and a thousand eternities. Then this, this spiritual consensus, this, a new psychic wave, was reached. The differing African groups in Haiti were then so quickened, that together as one PSYCHIC FORCE, they had passed Babylon's babbling towers, setting a new watercourse beyond forever: transmuting mental spasms and a cacophony of noises into ONE TONGUE, one powerful action - swearing to God and the Devil to be free or die. And when Agaou's thunder clapped next, the cosmic sea - home of the ancestral deities, of all the lwas who had become abstracted over many generations - that sea opened; Africa's sacred abstractions had come to life. A new nation called Haitian was formed, where unity lives in veins reaching the cosmic center - that nexus between the spheres of the living and dead, between action and reflection. Then, the Haitian Revolution came, beating back Napoleon's forces, then the English, Spanish and French again. Twice. This, Petwo's multination red force and strength, works when Rada is its base. Rada and Petwo, they spewed forth together as one, each making way for the stronger. They are the Lovers-of-Liberty, economic democracy-in-action. And their strongest symbol was Ezili Dantò - the warrior mother, love and Go(o)d principle who carries a dagger. She cuts out evil with good..... The Africans, who became African-Ayisyen, in the land of the Taino-Ayisyen expected the tools of combat to crawl from their bodies and mind, and it did. Their veins are the vortexes for a unified African PSYCHIC FORCE: and they surrendered to that. ****
