“Fox News” Spam Follows Email Provider Compromise

Fox News?

If you didn’t subscribe to Fox News, mark this as SPAM now!

Just yesterday, I posted about GOP canvassers changing people in the Cuban community’s party in their voter registrations without their consent. Today, people who did not sign up for Fox News were suddenly receiving “news” emails from them.

Recently, Yahoo.com and other email providers were compromised. People’s email addresses, names, and locations were harvested. This was to gather email addresses to sell. Those of us who knew of this wondered who the buyers were, and what they planned to do with them. I’m not saying Fox News was one of the buyers, but the timing is awfully strange.

Just in general, if you are getting emails from news agencies you didn’t subscribe to, mark them as spam. Don’t open them and definitely don’t click any of the links. They may contain malware or spyware.

If you received an email from a conservative news service you didn’t sign up for, leave a comment of who it was from.

Blessings and Ashé!
